Biography

Erdem Buyukbingol was graduated from Gazi University, Faculty of Pharmacy in 1974-75.

After military service has been achieved, he attended to Ankara University, Faculty of Pharmacy in 1978 and completed his Ph.D. studies in Pharmaceutical Chemisty Department in 1983.

He has been in Aberdeen University, Scotland with the British Council Grant in 1982, for predoctoral study

Postoctoral study was carried out at Case Western Reserve University, Cleaveland OH between 1986-1989 on the usage of artificial intelligence for drug discovery.

The NATO Grant was also attributed for further drug design studies in toxicologic issues in 1990, in France.

Research Associate of British Council Grant in Aberdeen University, Scotland between 1991-1997 (Four times visits, each 3-4 months).

Visiting Professor, University of Missouri at Kansas City, School of Pharmacy, Kansas City MO, 1998-1999.

Visiting Professor, Idaho State University, College of Pharmacy, 2003-2004, Pocatello, ID, 2003-2004.

Visiting Professor, University of the Sciences, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Philadelphia, PA, 2006 and 2007, and 2016 and 2017.

Research Interest: Computer-Aided Drug Design, Artificial intelligence (Machine learning and deep learning), Anti-cancer molecules
